Jose Villa Sene

I'm an entrepreneur and industrial designer from Havana, Cuba.

I worked in more than 40 projects as Lead Designer associated to Proyecto Espacios, one of the most important studios in my country.

In 2015 I founded Vibra Studio and created Vibra collection.

I obtained FIART Best Product 2015 and the ONDi Prize for Vibra collection in 2016.

I have collaborated with other Cuban artists and designers on occasions.

My work is based on the revitalization and reuse of common and accessible materials, wood, metals, plastic ropes, and ceramics—to generate brand new and experimental projects. Exploring new ways of building relationships between the user and the product is the main part of the creative process of my designs.

I actually relocated to the US to explore new kinds of works and share design experiences.
